Here’s How to Live, Says Elton John
Live for each second without hesitation, says Elton John.
That’s why dancing is so important. Not just for fun and freedom, but for mental health too.
It gets us out of our head. When we’re dancing we’re in direct connection with our heart and our body. We allow our body to move the way our heart guides us. We’re not thinking about which move to make. We’re just moving.

Turning the Beat Around 🕺🏽
- Choose an upbeat song that makes you feel good. It can be any genre or style, as long as it makes you want to move and feel happy. It’s going to be even more powerful if there is sentimental value in the song you choose!
- Find a comfortable and private space where you can listen to the song without distractions. This can be your bedroom, living room, or even outdoors.
- Take a few deep breaths and set a positive intention for how you want to feel after listening to the song. For example, you may want to feel energized, calm, or happy.
- Start playing the song and let the beat guide you. Move your body in whatever way feels natural and comfortable to you. You can dance, jump, or simply sway to the rhythm.
- Focus on the lyrics and the melody of the song. Let the music fill you up and drown out any negative thoughts or emotions.
- Keep moving and listening to the song until you feel your mood lifting and your energy increasing. Let go of everything. Let go of everything except this wonderful present moment.
- When the song is over, take a moment to appreciate how you feel. If you're not quite there yet, you can always repeat the process with another song!
I have always loved to dance, but it wasn’t until I met Eric that I started to use it as a healing device.
Fenix’ Dad and my husband: Eric Lumiere is a world renowned singer songwriter. He has billboard hits and is kinda famous in same circles in Europe 🎵
Music is his life. He sings all the time. And he loves to dance… even more than me.. and Fenix.
He has helped bring music back into my life in such an abundant way – and it is truly able to clear negative energy! It IS a mystical, magical resource.
I’m glad I’m sharing this today so I can be reminded to play more music today and dance SO MUCH MORE!!!!
We love you! Dr. Zoë and Fenix xoxoox and Eric too xoxoox
