A Guided Process for Creating a Wonderful Year
This simple guide will guide you through celebrating the year you’re completing, forgiving anything you’re still holding onto, and experiencing a clear emotional prayer for the year ahead!
- Celebrate the Year 🎉
- What were your significant achievements?
- What challenges did you overcome?
- What lessons did you learn?
- Pro Tip! Choose a way to celebrate your accomplishments. This could be:
- Sharing with friends or family.
- Treating yourself to something special.
- Creating a small ritual, like lighting a candle and expressing gratitude.
- Release Any Stuck or Incomplete Energy 🤗
- Think about any unresolved feelings or grudges that you may be holding onto. Write down the names or situations that come to mind (on a piece of paper you can easily dispose of)
- For each item on your list, take a moment to breathe deeply and visualize the situation. Say out loud or write: “I forgive myself for judging myself in anyway, at anytime, in any of these situations.” Experience yourself letting go of holding them harshly, or against yourself in any way. Allow yourself to feel and release any emotions that arise without judgment.
- Let go. Tear up the paper with your list and dispose of it (shred, or burn works best).
- Set Intentions for the Year Ahead 😁
- Create Your Vision: Visualize what you want to achieve in the coming year, keeping in mind your focus of the world within you, rather than the physical, material outside of you. Consider different areas of your life: personal growth, relationships, career, health, etc.
- Write Down Your Intentions: Use positive affirmations in the present tense, with emotional adjectives. For example: “I am easily and enjoyably loving my job and feel like I’m making a difference.” or “I am kindly and compassionately showing up for my husband, and making more space for authentic connection and mutual support this year.”
- Emotional Prayer: Close your eyes and take several deep breaths. Allow yourself to be aware of how you want to feel this year. There might be many various emotions and experiences that come present. Allow them all to flow until you feel a bottom line settling. Allow yourself to crystalize the heart of your year with a key frequency. For example: “I am relaxed and trusting life.” or “I am boldy and brightly expressing my joy.” Take a few minutes or more to deeply imagine and kinesthetically feel yourself living this frequency. Feel it as fully as you can.
