In this Gabor Maté video, we explore how society has conditioned us to suppress our emotions, leading to widespread physical, emotional, and mental health struggles.
Recognizing and expressing our emotions is essential for true well-being and happiness.
So today, let’s embrace joy by allowing ourselves to be emotionally authentic.

The Core of Authenticity ❤️🩹
If you want to move forward in meaningful ways, you must give yourself permission to fully experience your emotions.
One of the biggest misconceptions about emotions is that many of us don’t truly understand how to feel them—how to acknowledge and process them so they can guide us toward what we need, what’s unbalanced, and what truly matters.
For instance, when we experience intense anger, it often carries a surge of energy that gets misdirected into blame or retaliation. Without pausing to meet this emotion with kindness and curiosity, that anger can lead us to act impulsively.
1 minute for Authentic Emotion Today!
When was the last time you felt Authentically Happy? Recall it. Let yourself feel it until you’re smiling ear to ear, your eyes are soft and closed, and your shoulders have dropped a whole inch.

Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.

But when we allow ourselves to truly feel—to sit with our emotions and ask:
- What do you need?
- What feels out of balance?
- What is most important to me right now?
By creating space for these answers to emerge, we can transform that energy into clarity, compassion, and purposeful action.
