Turning Your Mornings into a Magical Motivating Machine
Mornings are everything. The way we start our day sets the tone for everything that follows. By establishing a positive and intentional morning routine, we can enhance our overall well-being and create a foundation for success.
Here are the top three things you can do to transform your mornings into a magical motivating machine:
1. Do Something You Love
The first thing you should prioritize in the morning is doing something that brings you joy, love, or energy. Engage in an activity that you truly love and that fills your soul with happiness. It could be meditating, going for a walk in nature, dancing to your favorite song, or expressing your creativity through painting or writing. By starting your day with something you love, you set a positive and uplifting tone for the rest of the day.
2. Emotionalize Your Day
Emotionalization is the process of consciously directing the energy and emotions you want to experience throughout the day. Take a few moments in the morning to fill your body with the kind of energy you want to carry with you. This can be done through visualization, affirmations, or engaging in activities that evoke positive emotions. By intentionally emotionalizing your day, you set yourself up for a more productive and fulfilling experience.
3. Practice Gratitude
Gratitude is a powerful tool that can transform your mindset and perspective. Take time in the morning to express gratitude for the blessings in your life. This can be done through journaling, creating a gratitude list, or simply reflecting on the things you are grateful for. A Step by Step Guide
Use this step-by-step guide to help you curate the perfect morning practice for you.
- What’s the ideal time you’d love to wake up?! And what time would you need to go to bed to practically get up at that time? Create alerts for these 2 times. You can shift them over time, so start with a smaller change first.
- What’s the one thing you LOVE to do, that you can also practically do a little of in the morning. Set a clear intention for doing it just once this week. And build in frequency as your habit grows!
- Walking? It could be just around the block or by the beach. It’s all about what you love.
- Painting? Or whatever hobby or art or practice you adore. We usually wait til the end of the day to prioritize these things, which means we never make time for them.
- Meditation? Journal writing? Reading? Something to inspire you?
- Music? Listen to just 1 song? Dance around the kitchen? Sing in the shower?
- Get creative. Only you know what you LOVE! Can you make 5 minutes for it in the mornings!?!?
- Complete your time doing something you love by choosing a quality for today. It could be joy, or peace, or awe, or kindness. But feel that quality fully. For at least 17 seconds. You’ve just primed your brain to create more experiences with this frequency today!
- Finally, just a moment or more of gratitude. What are you grateful for?! More than being aware of it, can you feel it. Inside of you say thank you to what you’re grateful for. Feel as many gratitude as you can.
Pro Tip 🏆 Wow. If you did that… EVERY DAY 🤯
Just contemplate right now. What might change in your life if you did that every day. If you felt great and grateful and inspired? How might your relationships be affected?! How would you show up in work or service? How might your health and wellness grow?!

I’m so glad you’re here, and still reading.
I just can’t get enough of self-love. I think because I find it so hard to do. I find it so hard to truly prioritize it. And I find it so profoundly day changing when I do.
I find self-love hard because I am a recovering people pleaser. For years I found it VERY hard to not what I actually liked or loved. Let alone being able to prioritize it.
