Hug the Ones You Love 🤗

If hugging yourself feels too cheesy, that's exactly why you need it most. Be brave, give it a try, and see how it feels. Learning to love ourselves, especially when we're down, is the key to true healing and growth. It may sound simple, but it’s one of the hardest, most important lessons.

Too Cheesy for You? 🧀

If the idea of learning to hug yourself feels a little too cheesy, that’s a sign you’re the one who needs it most.

But hey, don’t just take our word for it.

Be daring—give it a try, and then see for yourself how it feels.

We All Crave the Comfort of Being Embraced

That sense of connection and touch is something we all need.

The good news is, we can provide that experience for ourselves.

Just like hugging someone else, it’s more about the emotions, the love, and the genuine intention behind it than the actual physical act.

Everyone Feels Pain… Sometimes.

If you're a sensitive, loving, and compassionate soul, you're likely feeling the weight of it all right now.

Life seems designed to break us down, but not to destroy us. It's meant to break us open, to help us grow into more love, teaching us how to live from our hearts and compassion, rather than our heads and calculated confidence.

Being kind and gentle with ourselves is the real challenge. It sounds simple, right? But while it's straightforward, it’s definitely not easy. There’s often a part of us that feels undeserving of forgiveness or kindness, especially when we’re at our lowest.

But I’ll keep saying it—learning to love ourselves when we’re struggling is everything.

A Sacred Self-Hugging Workout Using a Self-Hug as a Physical Trigger for Self Compassion and Forgiveness

  1. Open your arms as wide as you can.
  2. Wrap them around yourself.
  3. Let your body feel that, enjoy that, and receive it. You might allow your chin to drop into your chest as you feel snuggled and embraced. Or you might find your head tilting backwards up to the sky, as you feel all the Lightness and support flood in.
  4. Activate the Healing Power of Infinite, Radical, Self-Compassion. It’s called Let Yourself Off Every Hook! Let go of everything you’re holding against yourself!!! See and feel you are doing your best. Be so kind, supportive and loving to YOU right now.
  5. Let yourself be aware of anything you’re ready to release. Go through the questions below, and just allow something to pop into your mind, and LET IT GO. You did your best. Stop holding it against yourself. LET. IT. GOOOO.
    1. Any area of your life you feel like you’re falling short?
    2. Anyone you’ve let down, or disappointed?
    3. Anything you haven’t done yet that you feel you should have?
    4. Anything you have done, that you feel you should NOT have?
    5. Absolutely anything, that you’re being critical or cruel to yourself about?
  6. Now say simply: “I forgive myself for forgetting that I am always doing my best. I forgive myself for forgetting that I always deserve my own Love. I forgive myself, for forgetting that I am the Love that I need.”
