End Your Day, Elevate Your Morning
What we do at the end of the day can work wonders for freeing our minds, helping us unwind, and setting the stage for peak productivity. 🌙💡
Here are 7 transformative tips to create an evening routine that will supercharge your mornings.
Work Smarter, Not Longer
Long hours don’t lead to better results – science proves it.
Overworking often decreases our output, making balance essential. By wrapping up your day thoughtfully, you’ll be more productive and energized tomorrow. 🔋 [2]

Your End of Day Workout 💪
Complete Each Day to Create Your Life
This suggested End of Day routine is thanks to Todoist! [1]
- Clean up your physical and digital workspaces ✏️ A 2011 study by Princeton University found that a cluttered, disorganized environment impairs our ability to focus, restricts our capacity to process information, and ultimately keeps us from doing our best work.
- Review your to-done's 🤣 One of the easiest and most effective ways to stay motivated and build momentum in your life is to celebrate your progress! Take five minutes to review your completed tasks at the end of each day!
- For the tough stuff – focus on just one small next step 🪜 If there’s something you’ve been putting off, find the SMALLEST baby step you can possibly take, and write that down for tomorrow! It’s magic. Try it and see.
- Write out tomorrow’s to-do list ✅ Writing out tomorrow’s to-do list at the end of the workday boosts your productivity in two important ways:
- It helps you stop thinking about work.
- It increases your willpower and mental clarity.
- Do the Least Fun Thing First 😬 Plan to do the toughest stuff first. It will free up so much energy to get to more than you can believe.
- Set a time to end your workday and stick to it ⏰ Research consistently shows that the more hours we work, the less productive we become. Need proof? Read this from The Economist [2]
- End on a high note 🎉 Do one or all of these:
- Forgive yourself. For whatever springs to mind. It’s powerful.
- Show gratitude. Yep. It’s a no brainer for feeling great.
- Do someone a favor. Doing something for someone else is scientifically proven to make you happier.

Pro Tip: Create a list or some kind of reminder for your Evenings!!!! Post it in front of your desk, or wherever you’ll be sure to see it as you complete for the day! Consider also creating an alarm signaling the end of the day. But not a beep beep one. I like “Seedling” on my iphone. It’s melodic soothing and I actually love hearing it.
