It’s easy to feel that our negative emotions are just a hassle. An unnecessary experience blocking us from being able to show up in the world how we want to.
But what if our emotions are showing us a very important imbalance deep inside our psyche?

Emotions are MASSIVELY Misunderstood 🤯
When we feel sad – our head makes up: “It’s cause I didn’t do enough.”
When we feel scared – our head makes up: “See these people can’t be trusted, let’s hide.”
When we feel angry – our head makes up: “They did that on purpose. I’m never doing that again.”
Our head makes up a lot of misbeliefs to try and make sense of how challenging it is to feel our emotions. Brené Brown’s video helps us understand that in this 3-minute video.
We don’t want to feel sad – it’s uncomfortable and sometimes even profoundly painful. So our mind uses blame (mostly self-blame) as a way to find something to fix and control. We then put off having to actually feel sad – and we move into action trying to fix and control.
