The HeartMath Institute, a non-profit founded in 1991, helps individuals tap into their intuition and heart intelligence. They offer tools to align physical, mental, and emotional systems with the heart's guidance. [1]
Their research emphasizes how heart coherence boosts emotional stability, mental clarity, and cognitive performance by syncing heart and brain activities for better overall well-being and performance.
Today we’re going to dive into a Sacred Workout for Greater Heart Coherence.
Heart Coherence: A State of Optimal Function
The HeartMath Institute's research reveals that inducing sustained positive emotions leads to psychophysiological coherence, enhancing both mental-emotional and bodily processes for optimal function.
This state improves physiological efficiency, emotional stability, mental clarity, and cognitive performance. Physiologically, coherence is identified by a smooth, sine-wave-like heart rate pattern, indicating synchronization between the autonomic nervous system branches and increased parasympathetic activity. Additionally, various bodily systems entrain to the heart's rhythm, enhancing overall synchronization between heart and brain activities. In essence, psychophysiological coherence results in enhanced well-being and improved bodily and cognitive performance.

For years I read about meditation, and understood spiritual and scientific ideas about meditation.
It took years until I sat down, consistently, closed my eyes and just did my best to start meditating.
I do think meditating saved my life. I offer lots of resources for various kinds of meditation in our Dashboard. And the school I study meditation with is MSIA - Soul Awareness.
But time and time again, I tell my own clients: trust your own timing. There is NO rush and no way you can be off track in your own adventure and timing. Just relax, trust yourself, and trust that you’ll get to those wonderful next steps on your personal evolution journey as you’re meant to.

A Heart Coherence Inspired Workout 💪
Synchronizing Your Heart with your Body and Mind
You can practice this any time you like. The more you practice it, the more powerful it will be when you use it in very challenging moments in service to accessing peace of mind when you need it most.
- Focus on your heart area and take some deep breaths. Breathe in for 5 seconds, and breathe out for 5 seconds (or whatever feels good).
- Think of something that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, like your pet, your favorite place, or something awesome you accomplished.
- Now when you breathe in, imagine yourself filling up with this warmth, this Love and appreciation. And on the breath out let yourself imagine and feel like this loving and compassion is radiating out from your heart center in all directions.
